Jen and Aaron are absolutely adorable in every way! I loved photographing these two and being a part of their heart-warming winter wedding. There is something so magical and exciting about the bustle, and twinkling lights of the Christmas holidays. Their December 30th wedding made this season feel even more special . I will never forget the look of joy on Aaron’s face as he grabbed my hand and said, “Isn’t this the best wedding ever?!!” He looked like he was on cloud nine as he stood with his arm around his stunning new wife. It makes me smile, just thinking about how much fun Jen and Aaron and all their guests were having. I hope everyone gets to experience that level of joy!

Chelsea and Shawn both come from very loving and supportive families, and it was a beautiful thing to witness their wedding at the Bill Reid Gallery in the heart of down town Vancouver. When these two kissed, the entire room erupted with cheers and applause…I have never experienced anything like it! While their guests kicked off a cocktail reception, we stole away to Stanley Park for a handful of intimate portraits. Shawn Edenshaw happens to be an incredible artist (he takes after his father Jim and famous great-grandfather Charles Edenshaw) and carved all the jewellery worn by him and his stunning wife Chelsea. We had a fabulous time and I knew the dappled light through the cedar trees would not only create a beautiful setting, but also be very appropriate for Shawn’s Haida heritage.

I love these two! Kala & Casey are not only beautiful people (inside & out) but they are also incredibly friendly and super fun to be around. Since Casey is a professional bartender (and an all around good guy) we were able arrange a pre-wedding photo shoot at the coveted George Lounge & Brix Restaurant in Yale town. It was a fantastic location and seemed an appropriate setting for these two fabulous Vancouverites who are always the life of the party.
After an exciting afternoon getting ready with their friends, Kala & Casey headed off to one of Vancouver’s most beautiful wedding locations right by Kits Beach…and saw each other for the first time during a sunset ceremony. The festivities began the second they walked back down the aisle as Mr. & Mrs McKay and continued until the wee hours of the morning. Mark, Sherri Koop (my 2nd shooter….a fabulous photographer in her own right) and I had a difficult time tearing ourselves away from the reception. We knew we were leaving a seriously good party!

Katherine & Mark were married in Courtnay, BC, surrounded by loving family and friends. It was beautiful to see all the love & support; a million rainbow-colored dahlia’s, a decadent architectural cake, and a spectacular lighting design were amongst many beautiful home-made contributions. I actually went to University with Mark Tinnmouth (aka Tinner) at Mt. Allison in Sackville, NB…I hadn’t seen him in over a decade but it was great to hang out with my old friend and meet this incredible woman he was marrying. I am so glad I got to be a part of their big day. It was a beautiful experience. It made me want to get married too…

Joelle & David hosted a fabulous party up the Sunshine coast at a gorgeous little resort called Rockwater. To help their day along, they hired the fantastic Tanya Peters from Milestone Events. With the combination of a beautiful setting, a loving couple, and Tanya’s organizational skills, I knew their wedding was going to be an event to remember! Here is a collection of some of my favorite shots from earlier in the day:
The evening began…and the party went into the wee hours of the morning…

Yomna & Carlo were married on a gorgeous summer afternoon. Every part of their day was stunning….the way she looked…the big smile on his face…the way he looked at her. It was simply Breathtaking. Everywhere I turned, there were beautiful scenes happening before my lens. There are so many amazing shots from this wedding; I had a difficult time deciding what to post on my blog! There are so many more, but this is what I have selected so far….
More to come. Stay tuned….

How could I not fall in love with these two…just look at them! Kala & Casey are seriously beautiful in every way. We decided to take their engagement photos in Gas Town, so we met at my favorite little cafe called Brioche, and worked our way around the area…so many great photo ops, it was ridiculous! As if these two hotties weren’t enough, they brought their adorable little “practice child,” Riley. I was beside myself. I want to give all three of them kisses!!!! xoxo

Kristine & Michael were married at the fabulous Heritage Hall in East Vancouver…one of my favorite venues! It has all kinds of character and I think the antique architecture made Michael’s English family & friends feel a bit more at home. Their evening was planned with non-stop fun and lots of time to party with friends, so we decided to take all of their formal portraits before hand down by the beach. Although these two love birds felt a bit shy in front of the camera at first, they looked incredible together. So visibly in love! Photographing them was an absolute dream.
More pictures to come. Stay tuned….

Wow! What an amazing way to start the sumnmer season! Carla & David were married on an stunning summer’s eve in the gardens of Ceicil Green. The quality of light durring their ceremony cast a magical glow on this loving couple and enveloped their family & friends. It felt like a fairy tale. I would love to get married at that time of day…many photographer’s call it the “magic hour,” for good reason.
Before the ceremony, I took Carla & her beautiful Bridesmaids down to Gas Town for some photo ops….they were fantastic models! After that, it was non-stop fun from then untill the end of the evening. I had so many great shots to choose from when putting together this blog post, it was almost impossible to edit down. Hope you enjoy!

Wow….another wedding season has come and gone. Just before I settle down to the calmer winter months, I just want to send out a big “Thank You,” to Lise & Jeff, Jan & Jeremy, Nicole & Jim, Nina & John, Kristjana & Chris, Jenn & Brad, Lindsay & Bruce, Melanie & Morgan, Allie & Mike, and Emily & Corey. Thank you so much for letting us in to your lives and allowing us to be a part of such an intimate & special day. Mark and I feel honored.
…And of course, I cannot forget to send an extra special thank you to Mark: “Thank you for your patience and your willingness to do whatever it takes to help me get the best shot. I couldn’t do this without you. I love you!” Here’s a shot of the man himself while we were location scouting in Charlottetown:
