Jenny & Dean’s Wedding was a feast for the eyes and a full-on photographic adventure that began in the Nitobe Gardens at UBC, and ended up at the Roundhouse in Yaletown, with many stops between. In order to honor her husbands heritage, Jenny wore a gorgeous white and pink Kimono for the first half of the day and then changed into a stunning, traditional white dress for the ceremony and the remainder of the evening. Every detail of their wedding was given careful attention, and their reception decor was so spectacular, it was hard to believe that they did it all by themselves. With the support of their fantastic wedding party, family, and friends, they pulled off an incredible celebration!

Julie and Jamie are the sweetest couple, and after photographing these two for their engagement, I was really looking forwards to their wedding. I knew it was going to be a smooth and easy-going day, and it was even better than I imagined! We had a gorgeous summer afternoon to run around and take photographs, and then Julie and Jamie exchanged vows as the sun went down. The whole evening had a wonderful and loving atmosphere… It was an absolute pleasure to be there.

Amy and Dave are a stunning couple and they chose and equally stunning location to celebrate their union. They were married at this fantastic place called Farmhouse Lifestyle in Pitt Meadows, where after heavy rainfall all day we were finally rewarded with a surprise rainbow and a stunning sunset. It was truly a fairy tale ending. I was like a kid in a candy store that day…so much to photograph! I wanted to post a hundred images on my blog, but I’ll have to be content with sharing this beautiful little collection;

Cassandra & Michael were married on a gorgeous summer’s day in West Vancouver. It was such a pleasure to witness this couple’s joy and to document their family’s love and support! Hugs and smiles were infectious, reflecting Cassandra and Michael’s delight on this day. Capturing the spontaneous, candid emotion was fun and effortless!

With the help of champagne and candy, the bridal party enjoyed a picnic in the sunshine before dashing off to the party …

Cassandra & Michael chose to bring all their guests to Grouse Mountain to celebrate their marriage. It was a fantastic location…and we all got to enjoy a spectacular view of the city while listening to some of the most eloquent & heartfelt speeches I have ever heard. I think I cried just as much as the guests!

Great love afairs do start with champagne & end with tea!

Like most couples, Allison & Erin were a little bit nervous about being photographed….but with Allison’s knock-out eyes and Erin’s million-dollar smile, they were an absolute dream to work with! I had a lot of fun bringing this refined & elegant couple to all kinds of rustic places like cement walls and grass fields, which created a wonderful contrast & lots of texture. They were absolute troopers! I can’t wait to photograph them again soon.

Whether my family & friends like it or not…I’m always there with my camera, documenting things. That’s just how I experience life…and in the past few weeks, I have been witness to some major life moments; the passing of my Grandmother, the birth of a friend’s first child, and my little brother’s graduation from Mt. Allison University. Here are three snippets of life, at three very different stages;
In loving memory of Daisy Ireland….

The welcoming of Felix Pringle Harpur….

…and condradulations to Jono Echols!!

I swear that every time I do a blog entry, I tell myself that I’m only going to put in 2 or 3 shots……and I can never do it! There were so many wonderful photos of Sophia, Teya, & Telise, that I just had to show you a bunch of them.
I could have photographed Sophia’s gorgeous little daughters all day!

And how old do you think Teya is…..

For a couple that claimed to not feel comfortable in front of the camera, these two were absolutely outstanding in their engagement shoot! Michael rocked his hat so well, I could have sworn he was British….and Cassandra looked stunning no matter what she did! I had so much fun taking photos, I didn’t want to stop.

Over the years, I have had many women ask me to photograph them, and it has always been a fantastic experience of self-discovery and celebration. It was an absolute honor to photograph Jacinta last weekend…..so inspiring to be around such a beautiful, intelligent, motivated, and fun-loving person!
