Anne & Lorne’s Wedding

October 3, 2007

I was given the gift of photographing Anne & Lorne’s beautiful little family when their son was only six months old. It was an absolute honor to be there on their wedding day almost four years later to document the formalization of their love for to each other in front of all their family and friends. I was completely humbled by the amount of tender loving care that went into every little detail and how personal they had made each part of their ceremony. Anne & Lorne were very sentimental and as a photographer it was wonderful to have so many visuals to incorporate into their portraits. The symbol of the Labyrinth was very important to Anne for many reasons, but at its most basic level, one can say that “we are all on the path…exactly where we need to be. The labyrinth is a model of that path.”  I thought that was a beautiful sentiment and I am so glad that we found this one to use on their wedding day.  I love it when I can turn someone’s wedding photos into true portraits, not just pretty pictures.
